Meet Jessica Chavolla

Licensed Professional Counselor

About me

I believe in the power of connecting with self and others. I take a feminist, trauma-informed perspective when helping clients recover that connection, and I love to use somatic experiencing and inner-child work when my clients are ready for deeper processing work.

I tend to work with folks on the edges of disordered eating, chronic dieting, and problematic substance use who are ready to feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally. When you’re ready to change the way you cope with emotions, relationships, and trauma, facing it directly and honestly can be scary, and surprisingly effective when it happens in a safe space.

I also help folks explore issues related to family of origin, body image, self-esteem, boundaries, and perfectionism. With gentle and direct guidance, I help my clients gain awareness of avoidance patterns, let go of shame, and embrace the emotions they’ve been escaping or numbing. Over time, this leads to more freedom, self-worth, and authenticity in relationships, and much more confidence in handling pain when it inevitably comes up.
